FAQ Ski rental

Do you have to book in advance?

-Yes, it is the easiest for you, otherwise you have to go through registration, booking and payment when you are in the store. If you book in advance, everything is ready for you when you arrive.

Do you pay a deposit?

-YES all rentals have a deposit that is reserved on your card

How do I get my deposit back?

- The deposit is NOT a transaction, but a reservation of the amount on your card that is taken away when the equipment is returned

Can I pay for the rental of equipment at the checkout with Vipps, Cash etc?

-No, you can only pay for the rental of equipment with a credit card via our web solution. Once you have authorized a card, it is very easy to extend, shorten or change your tenancy. You will receive receipts for all changes by email.

Is non-life insurance necessary?

-If you do not have damage insurance that covers damage to rented equipment, then it will make sense to take out damage insurance when you rent. Remember that theft/loss is not covered by damage insurance!

What if the equipment doesn't fit?

-When you come to pick up the rented equipment, ski boots and other elements are adjusted so that you are sure it fits before you leave the shop. During the rental period, you can come by and exchange ski boots if they do not fit.

Can I switch from classic to skating?

-No, you can't "exchange", if you have rented ex classic skis, you can hand them in and rent skating. The tenancy then begins again from the day you take out new equipment. If you just want to "try" e.g. skating and continue with classic other days, then it is not worth handing in the classic equipment. Then you just rent "skating" for a day

How are the rental prices, is there full price every day?

-No, it is only the first day you pay the full rental price, day 2 you pay 40%, day 3 you pay 30% and from day 4 onwards down only pays 20% of the daily price

I have rented from tomorrow, can I pick up for free today?

-No, you can't rent anything for free, but our price matrix is such that the first day is always 100% regardless of whether it's today or tomorrow. The difference between picking up today or tomorrow is the price on the last day, which after 4 days is only 20%. It will therefore only "cost you" 20% of the daily price to pick up a day earlier if you rent for a minimum of 4 days.

I have rented wax skis, are they lubricated with grip wax?

-No, when you rent skis that are to be waxed with grip wax, they are not lubricated at delivery. You can order daily ski wax at the time of booking.

I have rented wax skis, should I clean them?

-Yes, if you have rented wax skis, the skis must be cleaned of grip wax and klister when handing in. If the skis are delivered uncleaned, you will be charged a fee. You can easily order ski cleaning when you hand in when you book and then you can only return the skis when you are done.
